TechNova is the University of Waterloo's global Women+ in Tech Hackathon. We envision a more gender-equitable future in Technology by creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for women and other gender minorities to start, grow and thrive in the technology industry.
Project and Submission Requirements
Projects must by submitted by Sunday August 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM EDT.
- Teams will be expected to submit a 3 minute pitch/demo video.
- Any code/project started outside the hacking period starts will be not be allowed.
- Only original submissions will be accepted (eg. You can't have submitted the hack to a previous hackathon).
- You may only submit your hack to TechNova's Hack with Us 2022, not other hackathons occurring concurrently.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Judging will take place asynchronously on Sunday August 28, 2022 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM EDT.

Best Use of CockroachDB Serverless for Social Good by Cockroach Labs
Build the best hack for social good using CockroachDB Serverless. This prize category is only available to teams that use the hosted serverless version of CockroachDB. Each member of the team will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card and the opportunity to discuss and demo their project on a CockroachDB live stream.
